A Collaboration That Opens Doors

The Victorian International Institute of Technical Education (VIITE) is proud to highlight its higher education collaboration with IBC Higher Education, opening exciting academic progression opportunities for students aspiring to build successful careers in the human and community services sector.

A Clear Pathway from Diploma to Degree

Education should be a continuous journey of growth and opportunity. Through this collaboration, students completing VIITE's Diploma of Community Services can explore a pathway towards the Bachelor of Human and Community Services at IBC Higher Education.

The pathway offers eligible students the opportunity to receive credit recognition for their previous studies, helping them progress towards a higher education qualification with confidence.

  1. Step 1: Complete the Diploma of Community Services at VIITE, gaining practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
  2. Step 2: Progress to the Bachelor of Human and Community Services at IBC Higher Education, with up to 8 units of cross-credit and potentially 16 units remaining.
  3. Step 3: Explore further postgraduate study opportunities, including a Graduate Certificate (AQF 8) or an MBA (AQF 9), subject to eligibility and admission requirements.

Credit recognition and admission are subject to individual assessment and applicable institutional requirements.

Expanding Opportunities in Community Services

Australia's community services sector plays an essential role in supporting individuals, families, and communities through diverse social challenges.

With increasing demand for knowledgeable and compassionate professionals, qualifications in this field can prepare students to explore career opportunities in community support, family services, youth services, case management, and related areas.

VIITE's vocational training emphasises practical knowledge, industry-relevant skills, and professional development. Progressing into higher education can enable students to deepen their understanding of social issues, strengthen critical thinking, and develop additional leadership and management capabilities.

By connecting vocational education with degree-level study, the collaboration aims to equip students with the confidence and knowledge needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities.

A Vision for Student Success: CEO's Perspective

For VIITE, this collaboration represents more than an academic pathway. It reflects the institute's broader vision of empowering students through lifelong learning and meaningful educational opportunities.

Sharing his vision for the collaboration, Dr Daman Shrivastav, Chief Executive Officer of VIITE, says:

At VIITE, we believe education should open doors to greater opportunities. Our collaboration with IBC Higher Education is an exciting step towards helping students build on their existing qualifications and achieve their academic and professional aspirations. We are committed to creating meaningful pathways that empower our students to grow, succeed, and make a positive impact in the community services sector.
