At VIITE, students take part in impactful projects that make a positive difference in the community. These initiatives include supporting local communities, protecting native plants and wildlife, assisting children in special schools, and helping preserve cultural and religious heritage sites. Through these practical experiences, students develop and apply their skills while contributing to meaningful solutions for real-world challenges.
Protecting native plants and wildlife
Working with local land care groups, students help revegetate sites with native species, maintain habitat and learn how sustainable practice applies to their trade.
Assisting children in special schools
Care and community services students volunteer in special school settings, supporting learning and recreation programs under the guidance of experienced staff.
Preserving cultural and religious heritage
Carpentry and construction students contribute to restoration and maintenance at culturally significant sites, developing hands-on trade skills while helping preserve local heritage.
